The first of two very rare Russian Liberation Army Arm shields I am listing, this to an officer and the only one I have ever encountered, this from a collection in France, the POA having seen action not only on the Eastern front but also in France, where this was collected, Italy and indeed the Channel Islands.
Featuring the Russian Cross of St. Andrews shield machine embroidered on a khaki wool backing and surmounted by the letters POA in a golden wire.
Very good perhaps unissued condition with age toning.
Formed by the former Soviet General Andrey Andreyvich Vlasov. This force included navy and air force elements and numbered up to 800,000 men at its height, and uniquely among collaborationist forces did not adopt anti-Semitism in its manifesto.
