A particularly nice and complete example of a B Type Flying Helmet with D Type Oxygen Mask.
The B Type is a seldom seen size 4 made by Frank Bryan and dated 1939. The Leather is in excellent condition and retains its original chromed leather finish and colour, without scuff or damage. The stitching remains firm and without loss, the zips on the receiver covers in perfect working condition, the pulls still with their original tabs. A good pair of the correct 7063 receivers are in place beneath a pair of Canadian sponges.
Chinstrap and Bennett buckle are in place, the metal tip to the chinstrap present.
Inside, the chamois leather is without damage and shows just the right amount of service wear. The label remains firmly attached.
The Q Cord is very good and without fraying, the 10H /735 connector plug free from damage as is the Type 21 Microphone.
The D Mask is good but has suffered the effects of moth over the years, virtually all of which has been skilfully and sympathetically repaired.
A reproduction Oxygen hose is fitted with an original Mk111B*, 6D/101 connector.
