An unusually attractive RAF Sweetheart Brooch, constructed in gilded brass in two parts, the RAF motif raised from the wreath and with nicely detailed feathers to the wings.
Contoured and with wing backs and Crown scooped out, I believe this may be an early piece dating from the inception of the RAF in WW1, but it could of course be of WW2 vintage.
Wingspan measures 61mm. Very good condition.
