A very nice condition vaulted or convex 1939 Iron Cross First Class manufactured by Wilhelm Deumer of Lüdenscheid.
Silver-plated neusilber frame with a black finished magnetic iron core with only minor wear to each. Slightly hand vaulted by the original owner for better fitment to the tunic.
Early straight Deumer pin to the reverse stamped L/11, the placement of the LDO stamp in a not often seen position at the top of the pin.
The case is an early quality first pattern in extremely good condition. Early style LDO logo impressed in silver foil to the outer lid.
Beige velvet and off white artificial silk interior with minor staining from the Cross on the velvet base.
Rare set.
