A well service used example of a Mk11 British Brodie helmet with the remains of a Royal Army Service Corps divisional sign.
The shell is without damage and shows the remains of at least two paint finishes, the first a light tan colour over which a brush applied dark brown paint is obvious. About 50% of the divisional sign remains.
Inside, the attachment lugs for the chinstrap are dated 1940, the chinstrap showing wear. The liner itself is very good, the tongues still supple and without damage. The fibre liner bands are marked to Vero, size 7 and dated 1938.
