Pre 1942 Ordnungspolizei Tunic with light brown wool collar and cuffs piped in orange, with orange piping down front closure strip and on rear tail flaps. Overall condition is very good.
Constructed in a fine ribbed Trikot wool the Tunic has two patch pleated breast pockets with two lower patch pockets without pleats. There are eight front sliver aluminium pebbled buttons matching those on the pockets and cuffs. A ribbon for the World War 1 Iron Cross Second Class is stitched in place in the third buttonhole.
Collar tabs have silver flat wire Litzen on orange with silver twisted piping around each, tabs are machine sewn to collar, the collar closed by three hooks with eyes.
Shoulder boards are the sewn in type with silver and brown twisted braid with orange underlay. Close inspection shows minor moth damage to the underlay.
The left sleeve has a machine woven Eagle and Swastika to the Munich Police in orange with black swastika on police green wool.
Inside, the Tunic is lined with a light greyish cotton material with one inside breast pocket and a slit for the edged weapon hanger.
The lining to the left lower pocket carries Police markings.
A very fine example
