Second Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger with the favoured orange grip with twisted aluminium wire.
The Pommel retains all its original features with no damage, the grip is Trolon, a brand name for a cast phenol-formaldehyde plastic resin (similar to Bakelite). It remains in excellent condition with damage. Both ferrule and crossguard are very good, a tiny dimple only on the Swastika.
The blade is non maker marked, free from chips or bends but with some light greying patches perhaps from old fingerprints which I have tried my best to show in the pictures. A good degree of cross graining is present.
The nickel plated scabbard is free from damage but with dark age toning and with one screw missing at the throat.
Overall, a very nice example.
Available to buyers in mainland UK only of 18years or older. Please provide proof of age to 07775 661417
