A Service Dress Cap to an officer in the East Yorkshire Regiment.
Constructed in a paler shade of barathea the Cap is in overall very good condition with just one small hole at the crown most likely having been caught on something rather than being moth damage. Age has compressed the padding giving it a nice “well used” appearance.
To the front is the bronze East Yorkshire Regiment Cap badge below which sits the leather chinstrap secures by two brass general service buttons.
Inside, the leather sweatband remains attached but with the rear seam open. The once golden coloured ribbed lining is intact, but the label is missing. Size is approximately 56cms.
