An excellent example of a later war German Ammunition (Cartridge) Pouch for 30 rounds of 7.92 ammunition.
Constructed in the standard pebbled blackened leather with three compartments each intended to hold 10 rounds of ammunition with a central dividing strip. Closure straps are stitched to the lids.
On the reverse the belt straps are stitched and riveted into place and close over the bottom studs. The D loop is again stitched and riveted.
Clearly never issued, it would be difficult to upgrade this example.
