A very good example of the WW1 German M1887/14 grey canvas Bread Bag in little used condition and complete in every sense.
Unlike most one encounters the canvas is not washed out or punctured; it consequently retains the desirable proper field grey colour.
All the leather elements are whole, undamaged, pliable, and strong, and these again remain in their first issue colour, a lovely chestnut brown.
The Bread Bag is maker marked and dated 1916 to the central hanging strap and has its full complement of original buttons.
