WW1 Iron Cross Second Class with WW2 Bar on Parade Mount

WW1 Iron Cross Second Class with WW2 Bar on Parade Mount

Code: 56106

SOLD

Iron Cross Second Class 1914 on the so-called Ordensschnalle or parade mount with attached 1939 Bar to the Iron Cross in the desirable 25mm “Prinzen” size.

The Iron Cross is unmarked as is the Bar, however the Bar is with absolute certainty made by the Deumer firm in Lüdenscheid.

The Bar is attached by means of a wedge of ribbon pushed through the gap between the rear face of the Bar and the two attachment prongs meaning that it can be safely removed if required without damaging the Iron Cross Ribbon.

The Bar itself is in stunning condition with all its original frosting still intact, the Iron Cross, ribbon and pin are all very good.

A beautiful example formerly part of the Gordon Williamson collection
