The second and last of these WW1 Wooden Trench Clubs which I believe to be British Made.
A completely different design to the first this one has a wooden shaft of approximately 460mm, the bottom end with 12 carved rings for grip and a larger circular stop. The shaft flares out towards the top where a mushroom head of lead wraps around it.
Heavier than the last it is very good condition with no damage or woodworm.
An excellent display piece which will always attract interest
