A single breasted “Ike” Field Jacket based on the British Battledress Blouse. A good size 42R the Jacket is fully-lined with four button French fly front closure that leads to a lay-down collar and lapels.
The integral shoulder straps are buttoned near the neck. There are pleated patch pockets to each breast, whose scalloped flaps have hidden button closures
Short, horizontal straps with blackened steel buckles are to each hip to allow for adjustment.
The buttons to the cuff, pockets and shoulder straps, and the larger ones to the right of the front closure are all of olive drab Bakelite and appear to have their original stitching.
Above the right breast pocket is a "ruptured duck" for Honourable discharge whilst each shoulder has a patch, one to the 9th Armoured Division, the other to the 16 Armoured Division. Other badges are for 6 month deployment and lance corporal rank.
Very good overall condition.
