Wehrmacht-Verkehrsdirektion Brussels Sleeveband

£135.00 Approx $170.89, €157.53, £135

Code: 10206

An excellent unissued example of a German Traffic Directorate Sleeveband for Brussels.
The black rayon backing carries the BeVo weave wording “Wehrmacht Verkehrsdirektion” in golden script with matching borders top and bottom. The sleeveband is full length with some slight dust mark but completely without damage.
The WVD, "Wehrmacht Verkehrsdirektion" (Armed-forces Traffic-directorate) was one of four German Railway directorates. Staff were originally issued an identifying sleeveband with place name. Discontinued in September 1941 they were replaced with a sleeve eagle insignia bearing the directorate and location and are consequently rather scarce, particularly in this unissued condition.
