A fine example of the rare 1943 pattern Heer Fallschirmjager (Paratrooper) qualification Badge re introduced for wear with the formation of the 15th Fallschirmjager Kompanie Brandenburg, Regiment 4.
Machine embroidered of a feldgrau wool backing, the badge is perhaps unused and remains in very good condition with one 4mm long moth hole between the eagle’s left wing and tail feathers, only visible when displayed on a pale background.
A very rare badge to an elite unit and only in use during the last two years of the war.
