Front Heil Belt Buckle

Following the end of WW1 a large number of those released from service were absorbed into para-military organizations as a means of circumventing the Versailles Treaty. Most of these “Veteran” Organizations were considered right wing and all were uniformed, as were the Front Heil.
This two part brass Buckle features a small steel helmet within a circle with oak leaves forming the lower half and “Front Heil” in the top third. Although unmarked I believe this to be a very early version with a securing hook affixed to the back.
Overall condition is very good some very minor denting to the raised helmet.
