Luftwaffe Bergmutze

A very good example of a Luftwaffe Bergmutze intended for wear by mountain troops.
Constructed in the standard blue grey wool of the Luftwaffe these closely resemble the M43 but differ with the provision of a single button holding the fold down flaps in place.
Inside, the cap is lined with a grey cotton drill which in this case shows the owner’s name and the partly discernible manufacture’s stamp. Size appear to be large, perhaps a 57 or 58.
Overall condition is very good with no moth and no other damage the only point of not being the insignia which been re applied and stitched through the lining. The insignia is however original.
