1943 dated Women’s Royal Naval Service (W.R.N.S) Cap.

Flat blue wool other ranks headdress with original HMS cap ribbon attached with bow to the left side. The blue wool cloth shows evidence of moth trail to the brim with one small moth hole.

Inside, the brown leather sweatband carries the makers stamp, J Compton Sons & Webb and a good clear 1943 date. The leather remains soft but with one vertical tear. Size 6 7/8

The chinstrap is in place but detached at one side.
