Pair of British Army WW1 08 Cartridge Carriers

A very good set of left and right hand Cartridge Carrier Pouches for the Pattern 08 Webbing.

The left set is the modified set generally referred to as Carriers, cartridge, 75 rounds, left, Mark II and incorporated extra securing straps on the lower pouches to alleviate the problem of the press fasteners being forced open when lying against the side of the trenches in the firing position. Very good condition the reverse simply stamped L

The right set is in very good condition with light fraying to one strap. It is clearly dated 1917 and M.E.Co.
