RAF / British Airborne Forces Escape Compass From Escape Kit

An RAF / British Airborne Forces Star Shaped Escape Compass sealed in plastic and with provision for a lanyard to be fitted to allow it to be worn around the neck. These formed part of the contents of the Acetate Escape Box.

The Compass appears to work well with an accurate reading although the clear plastic viewing window over the glass has now darkened with age.
