US M7 Bayonet for the M16 Rifle. C1973

SOLD

Code: 56196

A very good example of the US M7 Bayonet for the M16 Rifle. These first appeared in 1964 when the M16 entered service in Vietnam and this piece would appear to date to 1973.

The crossguard is marked underneath, ”US M7 Imperial” and carries no ordnance mark which is what I would expect. The grips are two part black plastic and the blade is completely free from damage.

The scabbard is correct for this Bayonet and is marked USM A1, TWB. A1 denotes post WW2 manufacture (or very late war) and TWB stands for The Working Blind who made the scabbard. The scabbard chape is metal.

Overall condition is very good with no damage and with very little wear to the Parkerised finish.

UK SHIPPING ONLY to those of 18 or over
